Ways to Celebrate the 4th of July!
June 17, 2022
The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate in the Bay Area. Here are a few local ways to celebrate the day.
The Annual Fourth of July Parade in downtown Redwood City, the largest Independence Day parade in Northern California, attracts thousands of spectators. It brings entries from across the state. Most of the budget for the Parade is used for cash awards to participants, of which many winners are from Redwood City.
The parade starts promptly at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 4, 2022. You will know it’s time when you hear the cannon!
WHERE: Downtown Redwood City
This year marking it’s 51st rendition, Half Moon Bay’s beloved Ol’ Fashioned 4th of July Parade & Block Party takes over Main Street, transforming the charming downtown into a festive Red, White and Blue celebration.
The parade starts at 12 noon and lasts approximately 90 minutes.
WHERE: Main Street, Half Moon Bay CA
After a couple year hiatus, Foster City’s Fourth of July Celebration is back! Join the Foster City Parks & Recreation, the Foster City Lions Club and the Foster City Rotary Club for this exciting all-day event on Monday, July 4, 2022 at Leo Ryan Park! You don’t want to miss all the games, food, entertainment, family and dog parade, and a grand fireworks display.
WHERE: Foster City, Leo Ryan Park | WHEN July 4, 9 a.m. – 9:45 p.m.
The entire family will love the rodeo and western family activities that includes pony rides, petting zoo, mechanical bull and 4th of July BBQ
WHERE: Woodside, CA | WHEN: July 4th starting at 9 a.m.
This is a FREE event that will be from 11am-2pm in Central Park. Wear your best red, white, & blue and enjoy a lovely day in the park under the sun! Family fun activities start at 11:00am, and the concert will be from 12:00-2:00pm featuring Club 90 (Party Mix)!

Cue the fireworks—it’s the season for red, white and blue! Get into the patriotic spirit by making a cool craft with your kids!
