A Sweet Tradition: Our Annual Pie Day

Rumana Jabeen • December 11, 2025

Every year as Thanksgiving approaches, there is one special day I look forward to more than almost anything else: our Annual Pie Day. It is a simple tradition, but one that fills our home and my heart with so much warmth. Throughout the afternoon, clients stop by to pick up a pie, share a cup of tea or a glass of wine, and catch up as another year comes to a close.

Pie Day is my way of saying thank you. Many of my clients return to me for multiple purchases and sales, and many more refer the people they care about most, including their friends, family, and colleagues. That trust is the foundation of my business, and I never take it for granted. Offering a pie is a small gesture, bu t it comes with a great deal of gratitude.

One of my favorite parts of this tradition is hearing what happens to the pies once they leave my doorstep. Some clients tell me their pie became the star of their Thanksgiving table and earned rave reviews from loved ones. Others proudly admit that they hide their pie from their kids so they can enjoy it quietly on their own. However you choose to enjoy it, the joy it brings is exactly why this tradition means so much to me.

Hosting Pie Day at our home makes it even more meaningful. We love filling our space with conversation, laughter, and the energy of familiar faces drifting in and out. As we move into the holiday season, there is something magical about hearing the doorbell ring again and again, greeting old friends, and watching the house come alive. It is the perfect way to begin the holidays: warm, connected, and full of sweetness.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by this year, and to those who could not make it but continue to trust me with your real estate needs. I am grateful for every one of you, and I am already looking forward to doing it all again next year.

What makes working with Rumana successful...
By Rumana Jabeen November 11, 2025
When you work with a real estate agent, you’re not just hiring someone to manage paperwork or schedule showings. You’re trusting them to guide you through one of life’s biggest transitions. For clients of Rumana Jabeen , that trust goes far beyond the transaction. In this short video, filmed at Rumana’s Annual Client Appreciation Picnic, long-time clients share what it’s really like to work with her and how she leads with clarity, protects their interests, and continues to show up long after the sale is done.

The Buyers Are Back, and They’re Ready to Close Before Year-End: The Market Shift We’ve Been Waiting For
By Rumana Jabeen October 20, 2025
Every summer, I look forward to one special day in October: our Annual Client Appreciation Picnic. It’s a day to reconnect with the amazing clients and their families I’ve worked with over the years. It’s also one way I say thank you for their continued trust and support. My clients often work with me through multiple purchases and sales, and they refer the people who matter most to them, their friends, family, and colleagues. That kind of trust means everything to me. This picnic is a small but heartfelt way to show my appreciation. As with every year, we gathered at a picnic shelter at Beresford Park in San Mateo. We plan this event in October because it’s often one of the most beautiful months of the year. The weather tends to be warm and the skies are clear, which helps create the perfect setting for the day. It takes weeks of preparation and coordination to bring this event together. I want to thank my husband, Michael, who manages so much behind the scenes as my Director of Operations. This year’s picnic was filled with fun and joy. Families shared a delicious lunch and dessert, kids bounced in the inflatable house and got their faces painted, and many lined up for henna tattoos. There were lawn games, giveaways, and plenty of time to relax and catch up. As always, the most meaningful moments came from the conversations—hearing how your lives have evolved, celebrating your milestones, and reconnecting with people I’m lucky to call clients and friends. Toward the end of the afternoon, I had the joy of announcing the winner of our 2025 Referral Contest. The prize was a $1,000 Ritz-Carlton gift card to use at their convenience. I was thrilled to recognize someone who shared my name with others and helped new clients start their journeys. Now, entries are officially open for the 2026 Referral Contest. If someone you know is thinking about buying or selling, and you connect them with me, you’ll be entered to win. It’s that simple. You refer because you trust me, and I want to reward that.
